About us and our programme

We foster a love of learning in an inclusive environment. We value family, community and relationships - we also value kindness, respect, confidence, leadership and enthusiasm.

Children at Discovery know they and their whānau are valued. We work to achieve whānau aspirations for their children.

Our curriculum is based on children’s interests. The teaching team works to identify and develop those interests, and to engage children in conversation to extend learning and to deepen understanding.

We have regular visits to Discovery School and have close links to all our surrounding schools.

Ngahere Tamariki, our bush programme for older children provides learning in the outdoors. We explore, climb, slide, play, read, listen, create in our stunning natural environment on our doorstep.

We have five qualified, registered teachers, and children can start with us from two years of age.
