Rangitikei MP Suze Redmayne visited Kimbolton Kindergarten last week, and featured the kindergarten on her Facebook page. She described the visits as “a fantastic start to my day visiting the incredible team and kids at Kimbolton Kindergarten.

She went on to say “with help from Whānau Manaaki, it’s a buzzing hub of connection, belonging, and strong early learning for our local children. To the amazing staff - Cindy, Leigh, Malu, and Aleisha - thank you for having me. It was a pleasure to spend time with you and your awesome community.”

This post shows the value of all our kindergartens connecting with their local MP, building relationships, making MPs and their staff feel welcome, and building support for quality early childhood education.

Kimbolton’s head teacher Cindy Hawkins says both she and Senior Teacher Leigh Owen stressed the value of early qualified teachers in our sector. Cindy says the visit was a great success.
