Kindergartens across the motu stood up for high quality ECE for the national NZEI day of action on the last day of term last month.  You can read more about the day of action and future NZEI action on the ECE Voice Facebook page.  

The action was against the government:

• Cutting pay for new, relieving and fixed term teachers not covered by the Kindergarten agreement

• Loosening teacher qualification requirements

• Scrapping curriculum standards around Te Tiriti and good teaching practices.
