About us and our programme

“Looking after each other, ourselves and the environment” - this statement reflects our kindergarten philosophy.

Our kindergarten on the Kapiti Coast, in the township of Ōtaki was established over 40 years ago. We are the only kindergarten in the area from Te Horo to Manakau.

We have a spacious outdoor area with a tree fort and a firefighter’s pole. Mature trees add strength and character to the natural environment.

We believe children learn best when they are actively supported to learn and develop. We value and encourage whanau involvement. We foster children’s connections with the natural environment and incorporate taha Mᾱori into the programme. There is a strong curriculum focus on sustainablility and environmental education.

Our kaiako are all experienced and fully qualified and supported by two support staff who help with administration.

Come in and visit us any time.
