About us and our programme

Nestled in the hills of Papakōwhai, our kindergarten enjoys a large outdoor play space and spacious indoor environment.

Our playground includes extensive gardens and interesting spaces for exploration and play, including a large bike track, fort, sandpit, monkey bars and swings. The environment plays an important role in our curriculum of exploration and discovery, and is constantly evolving with the needs and interests of our tamariki.

Relationships are a central part of everything at Papakowhai Kindergarten. We believe that safe and secure relationships enable learning to happen and engage with whᾱnau to understand and integrate their ways of being, cultures and perspectives in the curriculum. Through this understanding, tamariki are able to flourish in ways that are important to them. We share ideas, guidance and find support from all people in our community of learners.
