About us and our programme

We are a community-based early childhood service in Featherston, welcoming families from the town and surrounding rural area.

Our kindergarten is a place where fun and respect are paramount. We value our relationships with whānau, community and each other. We want our children to feel safe, have a firm sense of who they are and to be secure in their culture.

We embrace the dual heritage of Aotearoa and respect our diverse, multicultural community.

Our children are curious and love learning, and know that their contributions are valued.

We offer an environment that encourage and supports children and nurtures the mana of each child in partnership with whānau.

We encourage parents/caregivers to join the programme, to share their aspirations for their child, and to take part in fundraising ventures and excursions.

We have well-developed relationships with our local primary schools and regularly visit them throughout the year. We support children and whānau for a positive transition to school.
