About us and our programme

Our kindergarten takes a place-based approach to learning, strengthening our connection to the land, people and stories of this area.

We overlook te Mana o Kupe ki Aotearoa (Mana Island), Te Waipounamu/(South Island) and te maunga Whitireia  - significant landmarks for Ngāti Toa Rangatira, the mana whenua.

Our programme includes hikoi ki te hāpori (community walks) and we maintain strong connections with our local schools.

Kaiako support tamariki to explore their interests, to take risks, and to see themselves as capable.

We invite whānau to participate and share in our hāpori ako (learning community). Whānau aspirations are important to us.
