About us and our programme
We are a welcoming, caring, fun and creative kindergarten where we inspire children to follow their own curiosity. We believe that learning begins from a place of aroha, safety and belonging. Our teachers are all 100% qualified and registered.
Island Bay Kindergarten supports a whānau-based model and the tuakana-teina relationship—where older children and younger children learn from and alongside each other. Although we provide many different services, we operate as one learning community and all whānau are welcome across all services.
We also have a great working relationship with Island Bay School next door and St. Francis de Sales. Teachers are able to organise visits for children as they transition to school.
