About us and our programme

Onslow Kindergarten is a welcoming and nurturing kindergarten in Khandallah, where children are encouraged to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive community environment.

Located in the heart of Khandallah, our kindergarten is tucked away on a private, tree-lined section that provides a peaceful and inspiring natural setting for children to explore. Surrounded by established trees and outdoor learning opportunities, children develop a strong connection with nature while learning to work together to care for their environment.

At Onslow Kindergarten, Khandallah, we believe learning should be fun, engaging, and meaningful. We foster a culture of kindness, inclusion, and respect, where every child and whānau feels welcome. Our accessible and inclusive approach supports diverse learners and celebrates the unique strengths of every child.

Children enjoy rich and rewarding experiences that spark curiosity, creativity, and a sense of wonder about the world around them. Our learning environment encourages children to explore, take on new challenges, and build confidence through play-based learning.

Our experienced teachers work in partnership with parents, caregivers, and extended whānau to support each child's wellbeing, learning, and development. Through these strong relationships, children feel secure and empowered to reach their full potential. Literacy and numeracy are naturally woven throughout our curriculum, helping children develop essential skills while following their interests and passions.
