This week Gonville Kindergarten in Whanganui hosted a hugely successful Health and Wellbeing event. Thank you to the Gonville teaching staff for all their support and making sure their families came along and were supported by the health teams.
At the event child immunisations, dental checks and cervical and breast screening were made available free to all the community. The Dental team were very excited. "Our mantra was getting one child seen and signed up today will be a success story and we had 10 new enrolments which exceeded our expectations!!" said the Service Manager Oral Health Services, Juan Restrepo.
A great event! First of its kind for our kindergartens in Whanganui, and now the Gonville Kindergarten community will know what support is available to them and their families.
If you missed last night, our next Whanganui Health and Wellbeing event will be held at Tōtara Puku Kindergarten on Thursday 10 April.
